Meet our QA Automation Architect Alen Rozajac who has been with Sixsentix for 6 years and has had the opportunity to work in 3 legal entities of our company: in Serbia, UAE and finally, since April 2022, in Sixsentix Germany. We asked Alen to share with us his experience and opinion about the company and the career possibilities Sixsentix provides.
Why Sixsentix?
I have been working at Sixsentix for almost 6 years now. My journey started in Serbia in Novi Sad, then Belgrade. Later I moved to Sixsentix UAE, Abu Dhabi. Today I live in Frankfurt and I’m proud to be a part of Sixsentix Germany.
Definitely, there is a number of things that I appreciate in Sixsentix.
Firstly, Sixsentix has a very experienced and professional leadership team from whom you can truly learn a lot. Their views of business development and testing in particular, bring your expertise to a whole new level.
Secondly, since I am an Automation expert, the company trusts me and gives me freedom to make a decision regarding the technical approach to a project, how it would be delivered, as well as organized from the architectural and automation perspective. I feel I can make an impact with the team. It is a huge responsibility, but it also broadens my knowledge and skills significantly.
The third main reason why I choose and why I have been with Sixsentix all these years, are our projects and the clients we provide service to. I have worked on important projects ranging from QA Maturity Assessment, SWAT Software testing, SAP, etc. for large global players in the field of banking and financial services. Our approach enables me to see the big picture from the very beginning to the end, as well as details, thus I can organize the project properly and obtain meaningful knowledge and information and deliver results.

The inspiration in testing
You could say that the coolest guys in IT, with greatest career opportunities are developers. But I don't agree. As someone who works closely with developers, I can claim with full certainty that Quality Assurance, especially when it comes to Sixsentix projects for big clients, gives a QA expert equal opportunity to gain wide knowledge, develop skills, advance professionally, and get respect the same as developers. I can apply the knowledge I got during my studies, as I majored in mathematics. All of this really attracts me, and I don’t see myself switching from Testing.

The most crucial factor for success
If we are talking about the most crucial tips for the success in QA career, I can summarize them like this: be a hard worker, obtain deep delivery knowledge, achieve the planned results - that is the foundation, the necessity. But it is also important to have well-developed communication skills and be able to present the project results to the client in an appropriate way. Soft skills such as teamwork, time management, decision-making and adaptability are also equally significant.
My values vs. company culture
