Job Description
The Senior Test Consultant oversees all aspects of software testing in close collaboration with the Business & Testing Team, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards in terms of quality and reliability. This role has a strong focus on Project Management, Test Management, and requires working directly with clients, managing client relationships, and ensuring their satisfaction with our testing services.
Additionally, this role involves managing testing teams, planning and executing test strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to successfully deliver projects.
Apart from culture fit being of paramount importance, for our current job opening, we are looking for the following must-have skill set:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software testing and high leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle, testing methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, QTest) and preferably automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Python, Tricentis Tosca).
• Proven experience in managing test teams and delivering high-quality software products.
• Experience working directly with clients and managing client relationships.
• English proficiency.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban.
• Experience working with distributed and remote teams.

If you are ambitious to gain more experience in:
• Test strategy and planning: Closely work with the client stakeholders to understand the demand for managed testing services; work with testing teams to adapt the managed testing service to the client's needs including scope, resources, schedules, service levels and risk management; define objectives, criteria, and metrics to measure the success of the managed testing activities based on the service levels that are agreed with the client; define test strategies taking into account Sixsentix' risk-based methodology.
• Team management: Lead, mentor and manage Test Consultants; foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Test execution and reporting: Oversee the execution of test cycles and ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices; perform quality checks on test cases, scripts and test data to identify improvement opportunities; ensure that the test case repository is accurate and up to date at all times; monitor test progress, track defects, and ensure timely resolution of issues; generate and present detailed, high-quality test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
• Process improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies and tools; implement best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards; promote the adoption of test automation and other innovative testing approaches.
• Collaboration and communication: Work closely with project managers, developers, product owners and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives; coordinate with external vendors and partners as needed.
• Client relationship management: Work directly with the client managing the relationship and ensuring client satisfaction with our testing services; communicate effectively with client stakeholders to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide regular updates on testing progress; act as the main point of contact for the client regarding all testing-related matters; maintain a strong client relationship.
• Business analysis: Build up and maintain business knowledge related to the projects being tested; ensure that the test scope is risk-based and aligned with business requirements and objectives.
• Automation and regression testing: Work with test automation specialists to build and maintain the regression test set; oversee that the optimal balance between manual and automated testing is achieved; ensure that the regression test suite is up-to-date and comprehensive.
• Resource management: Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and quality goals.
• Risk management: Identify, assess and mitigate risks related to software quality and testing; develop contingency plans to address potential issues and ensure project continuity.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Drive the QA team towards testing excellence by implementing best practices and fostering a culture of quality; hold team members accountable for adhering to testing standards and achieving high levels of test coverage; provide technical leadership and mentorship to ensure continuous improvement in testing methodologies and practices.
